Hinterland Barge Booking (Service Provider)
CALISTA is a global supply chain platform that brings together the key physical and nonphysical – such as regulatory and financial – activities of logistics on a digital eco-system that serves the community of logistics players and stakeholders.
Taking advantage of advanced digital technologies, CALISTA aims to reduce inefficiencies for the global supply chain by interacting with systems and applications (existing and new) of various stakeholders. CALISTA will streamline processes, documents and data in the flow of goods within and across countries and regions. Stakeholders will benefit from the reduction of data duplication, automated handshakes across nodes, improved authenticity of data flow and access to accurate and up-to-date status visibility. Envisioned as a global common platform, CALISTA will enable manufacturers to have direct and increased visibility of their goods while on the move, and for Logistics Service Providers (“LSPs”) to collaborate to develop value-adding global supply chain solutions for 2 of 3 their customers.
For example, with the greater visibility provided by CALISTA, manufacturers and their LSPs could partner port operators like PSA to access new port related asset-based and service-based solutions for greater productivity, and to explore new inter-modal transport corridors to achieve shorter transit times, better cost efficiencies and more optimized inventory management.
The CALISTA Hinterland Barge Booking module is a common platform for the Barge Service Provider to manage booking request from the Barge Service Providers electronically instead of via manual means (eg phone, email and fax).
This user guide will help the user to Process Hinterland Barge Booking & Booking Proposal. The user can change the Barge schedule and accept or reject a Hinterland Barge Booking.
For Whom (Audience)
This user guide is primarily for the Barge Service Provider.

You will find the following commonly used action buttons in many of the CALISTA screens,
clicking on them will effect the actions specified below:
- Create Generate a new document.
- Update Replace previous values with the new values entered.
- Delete Delete the document / information created.
- Save Save changes on Document upload
- Submit Confirm the change and submit
Hinterland Barge Booking
Process Hinterland Barge Booking & Booking Proposal
Retrieve Hinterland Barge Booking
Click Hinterland Barge Booking > Manage Booking. User will be directed to the Manage Booking Page (Refer to Figure 1). Pending Approval Bookings are located on top of the page.
User to search or click directly on the Booking, and then click Action “Edit”.
User will be directed to the Approve Booking page, where the user is able to view the Schedule Information, Containers, Cargo, Documents, Approval and Audit Trail (Refer to Figure 2).
User is allowed to propose for other Barge/Voyage.
- By selecting the existing Barge/ Voyage schedule they have uploaded in CALISTA (Refer to Figure 3). Upon the checkbox is ticked, the Barge/Voyage, Barge Voyage Number, Barge Name, Origin Planned ETA & ETD, Destination Planned Departure ETA & ETD, Origin Terminal and Destination Terminal will be auto-populated from the selected schedule (Refer to Figure 4).
- By clicking the New Barge/ Voyage check box (Refer to Figure 4). Upon the checkbox is ticked, the Barge/Voyage, Barge Voyage Number, Barge Name, Origin Planned ETA & ETD, Destination Planned Departure ETA & ETD, Origin Terminal and Destination Terminal will be open for edit (Refer to Figure 4).
Upon the user updated the desired schedule, click “Update” to save the change.
Note that there are date validation applied that on the Origin Planned ETD against the Cargo Ready Date, and Destination Planned ETA date against Cargo Delivery Date.
User can proceed to view the Container details, Cargo or DG Cargo Details and the Documents. User can download the Document. (Figure 5, Figure 6, Figure 7, Figure 8)
Under the Approve Tab, user will update the “Booking reference, Service provider Remarks and the Booking Status (Approve or Reject). When it is done, click Update.
Amend Hinterland Barge Booking After Approval
In CALISTA, the Service provider is allowed to amend the Barge Schedule details after approval.
User can select the Booking that has been approved under Manage Booking > Processed Booking Panel (Figure 10).
User proceed to amend the Barge Schedule details. Click Update to capture the change.
Manage Hinterland Barge Booking Amendment
This allows user to review the Hinterland Barge Booking amendment requested by the booker and provide approval or rejection Hinterland Barge Booking Amendment is only applicable for the bookings that have been initially approved by Service provider.
If the Amendment is approved by the Service provider, then the value will be updated. The Booking Status will change to Approved.
If the Amendment is rejected by the Service provider, then the value will be reverted to the original value. The Booking Status will change to Rejected.
Click Manage Booking Amendment module. User will be redirected to Approve Amendment Page. Pending Amendment Bookings are located on top of the page (Refer to Figure 12).
User to search or click directly on the Booking, and then click Action>Edit.
User will be directed to the Approve Amendment page, where the user is able to view the Shipper Proposed Amendment details. Container Amendment Details is captured in screen (Refer to Figure 13). Cargo Amendment Details is captured under Cargo tab.
Status Amend means the Booker has Shipper Proposed Amendment the existing Cargo or Container Details.
Status New means the Booker added new Cargo or Container Record.
Status Deleted means the Booker has deleted the existing Cargo or Container Details.
Note that CALISTA does not support DG Cargo Details amendment.
Under Approval tab, user will update the “Booking reference Number, Service Provider Remarks and the Booking Status (Approved or Rejected). When it is done, click Submit.

|Approved||Booking status will be changed to "Approved" and the changes submitted for the amendment will be reflected in the booking.|
|Rejected||Booking Status will be shown as "Rejected" and the changes submitted for the amendment will not be reflected.|
Click Manage Booking. Approved/Rejected Hinterland Barge Booking can be found in Processed Bookings.
